I had bought a larger one of these nesting boxes and my parakeets grew five babies in it nicely. I had no problems installing it.
I decided to buy this smaller one and received it less than a month later. It’s a good buy except for a minor detail, the screws are too short for the larger cages. The metal ring at the opening has been placed too high and when placed tightly onto the cage (because of the short screws) the top flap hits the ring top and it doesn’t close correctly. Longer screws that afford a looser fit solves this problem. Also, one of the twist wing nuts was missing. No big deal as the hardware can be bought locally, except that in the USA the hardware replacement costs as much as the box! The money I saved buying the smaller box, I has to use to buy new screws and wing nuts. Had I not had this inconvenience, I would have rated the sale a five star. thank you for a fast delivery.
